It's a wonderful blanket :)

This wonderful blanket has been my partner all through summer :)  It is made log cabin style with 21 different blocks (all different crochet patterns) that start in the middle of the blanket and end up working all the way out.

I would really love to say that the blanket turned out perfect but it is far from being a rectangle... and there are a few parts where I am convinced I just did my own thing cause there is no way it fits into the blanket :)

But here is my try at the Upperclassman Apartment Blanket - It was really fun to make and I do love the colour so much!

had a few days working on it up the lake - on one early morning even my little friend sat with me and learnt how to do a few stitches on it.  It was a pretty special moment :)

new scarf!

I do love circle scarves! so much so that I'm pretty sure I rock one everyday!  I love that I don't have to fuss around with the ends and they just always seem to lay so perfect!

This scarf is probably one of my new favorites but man o man was it a pain to make.  First I read the pattern wrong, then I ran out of yarn, so I bought new yarn, and then I made the same mistake in the pattern, but finally after so many failed attempts, my determination pulled through - but I would be a tad bit happier had I choose a brighter color....

anyways check it out!

and here are some pictures of other circle scarfs I've made:

This one is far more coral than red in real life

this is my favorite color in the whole world haha

laugh more - you're beautiful!

today just felt like one of those stormy days where all I wanted to do was stay inside bundled up by the fire watching old movies and sipping some hot chocolate... and that is exactly what I did

well... and I am also really behind on some book reports so I did some of that too...

well... I actually made some really cute magnets while I was at it - so after a nice long day of relaxing/reading/watching/writing and crocheting - I made something really cute and easy!

they just make me smile everytime I see them!!

Early next week check back and I'll have a tutorial uploading to show you how easy they are too make! Pretty much if you have a birthday coming up this is what you'll be getting from me!

I also wanted to share this song that totally inspired me today

i see your face in every sunrise
the colors of the morning are inside of your eyes
the world awakens in the light of the day
i look up to the sky and say
you're beautiful

i see your power in the moonlit night
where planets are in motion and galaxies are bright
we are amazed in the light of the stars
it's all proclaiming who you are
you're beautiful, you're beautiful

i see you there hanging on a tree
you bled and then you died and then you rose again for me
now you are sitting on your heavenly throne
soon we will be coming home
you're beautiful, you're beautiful

when we arrive at eternity's shore
where death is just a memory and tears are no more
we'll enter in as the wedding bells ring
your bride will come together and we'll sing
you're beautiful, you're beautiful, your beautiful

I SEE YOUR FACE, YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!

after listening to this more than a few times today - it made everything inside of me just become so excited!  Jesus you are beautiful and your overwhelming love has just ruined me for anything other than you.  Your creation is beautiful!

I challenge you just to look for his love and beauty in creation - it's everywhere - he is calling you to him!

"Children are a gift from the Lord - they are a reward from Him" Ps. 127:3

"Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you High God - you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration - what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread our before you,
the days of my life all prepared
before i'd even lived one day" Ps 139:13-18

It is just so incredibly exciting when babies are born. It's amazing how God knows us and loves us before we are even born and creates us into these perfect little beings. Everything about how babies are born is just unreal! Such an amazing blessing from God.

Its become a little bit of a tradition for me to create welcome home signs for when the mommies and babies come home from the hospital and I'm getting pretty creative with them.

After trying to break into the shannon household once and found out that they are one of the few people in town who lock all the doors and windows! I got keys from ryan and broke into drop off my welcome home sign.

Some pictures of the process...

and then finally after breaking in the sign now hangs from the tv
